I started my first injectable yesterday morning...yep....did it ALL by myself! The nurse said the the lupron was supposed to be refrigerated so I pulled it out, cleaned it off, and stuck it in. Well, maybe I should have thought twice before I did that. I didn't even think that it being cold would matter......I am here to tell you it DOES! It went bright red, swelled up, and itched like crazy!!! The welt finally went away last night about 7 pm, but it was ugly! So this morning I took the syringe and warmed it up between my hands and then injected it warm and NO problems! DUH!
So here is what I am on for the next week or so:
BCP's (birth control)
PNV (prenatal vitamins)
BA (baby asprin)
Doxy (doxycycline-AM/PM)
Lupron (10 units AM)
No side effects from the lupron (yet) the doxy makes me sick to my stomach for about a half hour...but nothing I can't tolerate.

Great job on the injections! Try to eat something when you take the antibiotic - it will help with the nausea.
I would get the same type of welt/itching from the follistim (which needed to be refrigerated). Funny though, I never refrigerated the Lupron...not ever.
Good luck as you continue!
Congrats on getting started!
Ouch on the lupron reaction. I had to refrigerate the lupron when on the microdose lupron protocols... but I never had such welting. Maybe I left mind out of the fridge longer. Glad to hear it didn't recur!
